We're Alive: A Story of Survival - K.C. Wayland: A Review

The First Season
I don't usually like audiobooks where each character is voiced by a different voice actor, but this one was done exceptionally well. I was hanging on to every word.
Every character is easy to like and of course, being a post apocalyptic tale, there are obviously a lot of deaths - and each and every one of them invokes a profound feeling of loss, even for characters that are never actually active in the story. When one character tells another about a loved one they lost in the initial outbreak it is done so in such a way that you feel the impact the loss, even without ever knowing the character within the story.
These days its easy to become bored with the same old zombie stories that all seem to follow the same fault line and generally speaking, this one does run along the same groove, yeet it still has the ability to not only hook the listener/reader, but to have them hanging on every word, which is a feat in itself.
Definitely one I'd recommend to any post-apocalyptic zombie fan. 4.5 stars for this masterpiece.
