Hooked - Emily McIntire: A Book Review

Never After - book one

This came up as a free audiobook title for December, and I didn't really pay attention to what it was about, it just sat in my library for a while, before I decided to listen to it because it had been collecting dust in my audio library. It actually took me a bit to even realise what was going on and who each character represented from the original cast of Peter Pan, which is a good thing, as I likely wouldn't have listened to it otherwise, as I'm a little over the 'adult' versions of Disney tales at the moment, or at least, I was until this one slammed it's way in.

Hooked has been expertly woven into a more realistically believable tale, giving the aura of it being the 'real' story behind the legendary fairy-tale version. Think Peter Pan meets 50 Shades of Grey (but at a much higher quality of writing).

The story was highly addictive and impossible to put down. Ideal for anyone who likes alternative fairy-tales, or raw romance or soft erotic fiction. McIntire's writing reaches straight through to the soul. She has gained me as a new follower on Amazon this week and her other titles have all made it to the top of my WTB (Want To Buy) list. Definitely worth giving this one a shot. 5-Stars!
